Dear Gary,

PAR’s new website, RealReform76.com, was launched last month to help highlight the benefits of Senate Bill 76. In just a month, we’ve seen more than 4,000 visits, with 800 people sending emails to their senators. We’ve also heard stories from 80 people who have been adversely affected by unreasonable school property taxes. The National Association of Realtors® Issues Mobilization Committee is aiding our effort by providing funding to help PAR’s campaign.

Senate Bill 76 proposes to eliminate school property taxes and replace the funding by raising the personal income tax from 3.07 to 4.34 percent and increasing the sales tax from 6 to 7 percent and broadening the sales tax to include previously exempted items. The bill does not include sales tax on real estate services.

Senate Bill 76 needs two more senators on board to pass in the Senate. So we need your help. Please visit RealReform76.com today and send an email urging your senator to support Senate Bill 76. Encourage your family, friends and clients to also visit RealReform76.com to send emails to their senators.

As defenders of homeownership and property rights, PAR is committed to real property tax reform in the Commonwealth. This is the largest bi-partisan legislative effort to date on statewide property tax reform and Keystone Analytics polling shows a two-to-one public support of SB 76 with strong support coming from Democrats, Republicans and Independents alike.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be sending postcards and calling homeowners, asking them to contact their senators urging them to support this legislation. Please visit RealReform.com to make your voice heard!
